We recently compared the two most popular smartphones of 2014 — the Google Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, to crown the king for the year!
Which one do you have?
Would you vote for it just because you have it?
The phablet — The in between of the smartphone and the tablet.
The Nexus 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are equal in size to any of the predecessors and have coveted by those who have trouble reading or smaller images and photos. However on the flip side most people like to keep their phone in easy to access locations like their pocket and or a purse. So the question becomes where do we keep this new device?
With the size of each of these phones, and the all of the recent advances everything is so clear! It’s beyond clear that these two phones, photos and videos have never looked better. With that being said, I am wondering if you have one of these Phablets why would you use a tablet?
With the apple Tablets being $299+, and the screen of the iPhone 6 max being large enough to meet most of my needs, why spend the money?
We could spend the next 15-20 minutes together going over so much of the tech info that is already all over the net, so let’s skip to the bottom line here! The Nexus, is made by Motorola, it’s the Mecca for the entire Android line and is very different for other Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy.
The Nexus 6 isn’t priced as a bargain by any means. Interesting to point out that the previous Nexus 5, was seriously one of the best bargains for smartphones at only $350 full price and no contract. It does offer features on the Galaxy phones such as an expandable memory or a removable battery.
The big Nexus will run you a steep $650 and you can only buy directly from Google or Motorola. Interesting to that the wireless carriers are not currently selling it yet, and the phone not out of stock at either location.
The tech giant apple was smart enough to have an entry level priced iPhone 6 Plus priced at $299 with a two-year contract at the major providers. If you’re even thinking about the bigger iPhone, stop into a one of the stores and take your time and get a good look at the iPhone 6 vs. the iPhone 6 plus. I will say that after holding and playing with both that the iPhone has a flat back and didn’t hug my hand the way the Nexus did with a curved back.
So it comes down to it! Do you pick the Nexus 6 or iPhone 6 Plus? What we have found is that the Nexus is in a league of it’s own. It outshines the iPhone with several different features. I will say that the iPhone is more user friendly and has a better camera over the Nexus.
So does It comes down to personal preference? I suppose it may, I would put money on that fact if you have always used an iPhones, you will most likely prefer the 6 Plus over any of the Android products, and and vice-versa for Androids users. I would be shocked in all honesty if either device change your mind.
I will note here that both products are of high quality. So with that said it really doesn’t matter which one you choose, either way will be getting a very beautiful phone!
